Seven high school students are stranded at their New England high school during a week-long blizzard that shuts down the power and heat, freezes the pipes, and leaves them wondering if they will survive. (From titlewave.com) One thing about this book is that it gets right to the point. From the very beginning we know that not everyone makes it. Our narrator, Scotty Weems, does not sugar coat much, but he also does not go into great detial, which helps keep the story moving. There are seven students stuck in their high school with no adults (the only one went for help, but did not make it very far). With plenty of food, the only thing they have to worry about is staying warm, the roof caving in, and someone finding them. This book will take your breath away!
