Fallen by Lauren Kate

Summary
There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move. Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce--and goes out of his way to make that very clear--she can't let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

Mrs. Lassley's Review
I had given this to a student to read and they loved it, so I knew I had to put it on my list of "Must Reads" and I will tell you, it was awesome! Set in Georgia, Luce is a student who has a lot of guilt for what happened a party, but she is still not quite sure what happened. At Sword and Cross, we see her dealing with being sent away from her best friend and having to adapt to a group of students who already seem to have it out for her. As time goes on she starts to feel more comfortable but there is always this sense that she knew Danial before. If you are a fan of the Twilight books, then this is a must read for you!

  1. Great blog. There is an issue with this post though. Part of it is highlighted in white and you can't read the text.
